Beijing, 31 May (Xinhua) -- On the eve of International Children's Day, the "Take Me to the Moon" original series of aerospace science picture books ("I Want to Go to the Moon", "Take Me to the Moon", and "Homeland on the Moon") organized and approved by the Second Academy of Aerospace Science and Industry of China was officially published.

As a space science book recommended by the China Aerospace Foundation, the "Take Me to the Moon" series is the first set of the latest reading materials for children to introduce the whole process of China's lunar exploration to children since Chang'e 5 returned with the lunar soil. In accordance with the trilogy timeline of "The Origin and Development of the Moon - China's Chang'e Lunar Exploration Project - Building a Lunar Base", the whole book uses interesting pictures and texts to string together more than 100 lunar science knowledge through forward-looking scientific vision and fine realistic style illustrations, so that children can immerse themselves in the scene, open their minds, and imagine the wonderful life on the moon.

The moon is the "springboard" for mankind to go to deep space, and the complete success of the Chang'e-5 mission marks the successful conclusion of the three-step plan of China's lunar exploration project of "circling, falling and returning". In order to let young readers deeply understand the development of China's lunar exploration project and stimulate their enthusiasm for advocating science, exploring the unknown, and sailing to the sea of stars, the 208 "Military Digest • Scientific Teenager" of the Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry and Motie Planet jointly planned the "Take Me to the Moon" aerospace science picture book series, which lasted two years of meticulous compilation and repeated polishing, and finally created a "lunar picture book trilogy" with beautiful pictures, scientific rigor and detailed content.

Academician Wu Weiren, chief designer of China's lunar exploration project, recommended that the "Take Me to the Moon" series of picture books start from the birth of the moon, leading young people to understand the long journey of human lunar exploration and inspiring them to explore more distant space.
