With the settlement of the West Lake Lettuce Base, Wulong Village took off the hat of a weak and scattered village that year, and had an annual collective economic income guarantee of more than 100,000 yuan. In addition, the base also actively attracts villagers from the village to work at the base and achieves employment at the doorstep of the family. Taking the picking worker as an example, the working hours of picking a kilogram of lettuce is 3 to 6 yuan, under normal circumstances, a worker can pick 70 to 80 kilograms a day, and at most one person can pick 100 kilograms a day.

At present, Hangtou Town Wulong Village Lettuce Base has become a zhejiang province lettuce germplasm resources protection base, products are mainly sold to Hangzhou, Shanghai and other places, Hangtou production of lettuce has accounted for 85% of Hangzhou lettuce sales, such as Louwailou, Xizi State Guesthouse, Huanglong Hotel and other high-end hotels of lettuce raw materials are provided by the base. It is worth mentioning that last year, Lu Shefu's lettuce base was also shortlisted for the "Zhejiang Provincial Assured Vegetable Garden".

For Lu Shefu, the completion of the factory building with an area of more than 1,300 square meters is a new starting point for him to inherit the lettuce of the West Lake. "The first phase of the workshop has more than 680 square meters, and with this workshop, I can apply for food production certification." According to Lu Shefu, the factory building was transferred from the idle houses in Wulong Village, and its completion not only brought more income to the villagers and village collectives in Wulong Village, but more importantly, his enterprise upgraded from the primary production of growing agricultural products to the secondary production of manufacturing commodities.

"In the future, I hope to develop lettuce masks and other products and label them with the 'Qiantang Memory' trademark." According to Lu Shefu, in addition to the deep processing workshop put into use in July, the second phase of the plant project for making sauce duck and drunken crab will be put into use before November this year, "The villagers pick lettuce in the first half of the year, and can pickle the sauce duck in the second half of the year, so that everyone can ensure that everyone has income throughout the year." Lu Shefu said that Jiande is his second hometown, he hopes that lettuce can bring better development to the second hometown, the next step, he will invite high-quality agricultural products from all over Jiande into the lettuce digital industrial park, and recommend these products to the executive chefs of major hotels across the country, so as to further build the brand of high-quality agricultural products in Jiande.
