Song Yingxing was born in 1587 (the fifteenth year of the Ming Dynasty), a famous scientist of the Ming Dynasty, and the time of his death is not clear, one says 1661 (the eighteenth year of shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty), the other says that it was 1666 (the fifth year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty), and lived from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.
Regarding the controversy over the image of Song Yingxing in the show, I personally believe that his hairstyle has obvious errors, and it should not be a braided head, which has four bases.
First, although the Qing army implemented "leaving hair without leaving head" after entering the customs, killing many people for this reason, Song Anzhi once also believed that people at that time were "hairy and easy to serve", but in fact this was not the case, because the existing portraits of peasants in the Kangxi period showed that many peasants did not shave their hair.
Looking through the relevant information, I found that in some remote places at that time, there was indeed a situation of not shaving your hair, of course, if you want to go out of this place to become an official, or live in the city, you must press the "hair and easy clothes".
As for why, there are two points of support, (1) in ancient times, "imperial power does not go down to the county", simply put, the ancient dynasty, whether it is a divided party, or a dynasty that implements great unification, its ruling tentacles are not deepened to the units below the county level, it is not deepened to the grass-roots level, below the county, generally clan autonomy, or gentry have the final say, as long as it is not too out of the ordinary, the general government is also turning a blind eye.
(2) A few years ago, a village was discovered and retained for more than three hundred years in the Ming Dynasty, why did this village disappear and actively isolate itself from the world?
It was because after the Qing army entered the customs, this village did not want to "change clothes", so it lived in seclusion on the mountain.
A village can successfully hide without shaving its hair, how can Song Yingxing, a person who lives in seclusion in the mountains, not be able to do it?
And why is the time of Song Yingxing's death uncertain, it is reasonable to say that people like him, even if they do not become officials, are also very prestigious people in the local area, how can they not even be uncertain about the time of death?
This fully shows that Song Yingxing was indeed a hermit in the mountains and forests in his later years, and he did not care about the world at all, otherwise how could he not even be sure in which year he died, so naturally he avoided shaving his hair.
Also in the Qing Dynasty, Taoists did not have to shave their hair, which is enough to show that there was still a way to avoid shaving at that time.
Second, the braided hairstyles of the Qing Dynasty went through three periods and were not static.
It has gone through three periods: the early rattail, the middle pigtail, and the late python tail.
From this point of view, the Song Yingxing braided hairstyle in the program is also not correct, and it is not at all the hairstyle of the early Qing Dynasty.
On this point, why don't those who say that Song Yingxing's hairstyle is right?
Third, Song Yingxing's "Heavenly Works and Opening Things" was first published in 1637 (the Chongzhen Decade of the Ming Dynasty), that is to say, Song Yingxing's most outstanding works were completed in the Ming Dynasty, which was his greatest achievement in the field of science.
In this regard, Song Yingxing's achievements are also part of the achievements of Ming Dynasty science and technology, so why do you have to make him a braided hairstyle?
Fourth, after the death of the Ming Dynasty, Song Yingxing regarded himself as a Ming Dynasty, and in the second year of Longwu (1646), his brother Song Yingsheng took poison and was martyred, while Song Yingxing lived a reclusive life, refusing to be able to do so, and in his later years he was "lyrical and scholarly, and he was a member of the weeds".
It can be seen from this that even if Song Yingxing lived to the Qing Dynasty, he did not forget his homeland, and he must have prejudices and even hatred for the Qing Dynasty, so if this is the case, after more than 300 years, why should he disregard the personal feelings of this historical figure and make a braid for his character image?
The past history needs to be viewed objectively, and the historical figures must also restore their true side, a historical figure who has adhered to the national integrity, regarded himself as a Ming Dynasty, and refused to submit to the later dynasties, why should he be "shaved and braided"?
Why would the historical adviser of the program group make such a common sense mistake? Could it be that in the name of so-called unity, this is the case? The basis of unity lies in fairness and justice, we cannot ignore most people for the sake of some people's excessive psychology, and only by facing history objectively and restoring history objectively can we truly read history wisely and be truly united.
