In the stage play, we can see that the hairstyle of Song Yingxing's actor is the thick braid in the Qing Palace drama, but as Song Yingxing, who lived in the early Qing Dynasty, this is actually not right.
In the early Qing Dynasty, the discernment should be a slender braid on the back of the head, commonly known as the money rat braid. This thing is really ugly, the program team may be for the sake of ornamentation, but it is indeed a big flaw.

He had a great interest in astronomy, acoustics, agronomy and craft manufacturing, and had read Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica, by which time he had shown his qualities as a scientist.
However, there is no doubt that his thinking is completely unsuitable for the Eight Strands of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, so Song Yingxing, who has been admitted as a third-place scholar since the forty-third year of the Wanli Calendar, has not been admitted to the Jinshi. After returning to his hometown, Song Yingxing became a county scholar as a person, and it was during this period that he began to compile and publish works one after another, and the famous Chinese and foreign masterpiece "Tiangong Kaiwu" was the first issue of this period. After that, Song Yingxing specialized in this way and resigned from the government many times.
Chongzhen was promoted to the post of governor of Tingzhou prefecture in eleven years, and two years later, he resigned his post before his term of office was completed; Chongzhen became the governor of Bozhou in the sixteenth year, and resigned again in the following year; in March, Li Zicheng attacked Beijing and the Ming Dynasty collapsed; in May, King Fu established the Southern Ming regime in Nanjing, and enlisted Song Yingxing as the commander of Chu and Bing Patrol Road and Nanrui Bing Patrol Road, but Song all refused.
After the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, Song Yingxing has been living a reclusive life, spending his old age in poverty and refusing to be able to do so. In the fifth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (that is, the twentieth year of the Southern Ming Yong Calendar), Song Yingxing died at the age of 80.
