The swimming events of the 11th National Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympics were held on October 22 at the Swimming and Diving Hall of Xi'an Olympic Sports Center.
On the field, athletes from all over the country practiced "lighting up dreams and setting sail for love" with their spirit of unremitting self-improvement and tenacious struggle. Beside them, there is a force that silently supports them, so that athletes from all over the country feel the sincere service and warm companionship, and this power will also spread dedication and friendship in every corner of the arena, and this warm power is derived from our amiable and lovely volunteers "Little Qin Bao".
The 407 volunteers of this year's Paralympic Swimming Project carried out volunteer services around many aspects such as competition operation, reception services, spectator services and so on. Whether in the arena, station, or hotel, volunteers do their best to provide intimate service to the athletes, and their warm service makes the athletes feel the fiery "volunteer temperature".
Zhang Ziyao from Xi'an Technological University is one of the volunteers of the paralympic swimming field, serving in the competition organization department, and her job responsibility is to manage the equipment and materials needed for the competition. She and other "Little Qin Bao" gathered at six o'clock every morning, and the average daily working hours reached more than ten hours, which was very hard. But she proudly said: "Although my work seems boring, just repeating the distribution and inventory of supplies over and over again, I enjoy it." In the process of volunteering, we have gained far more than we thought. This volunteer service allowed me to learn to communicate with people, learn to care for others, and more deeply understand the precious meaning of life. ”
In the paralympic sports competition, there is a special group of volunteers, they are the sports team to accompany the reception volunteers, from the arrival of the sports team to the airport, to the game of food and housing competition, they are to do a good job for the athletes to do intimate service, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology Huaqing College wang Yufan and other volunteers from the sports team arrived at the airport, to the athletes during the game of food, accommodation, travel and competition, are doing a good job for the sports team in every detail, they also talk about hobbies, say training results, talk about what they see and hear. She also volunteered as an English teacher for athletes, helping her review her homework, teaching her pronunciation, and sharing her own ways to learn English and memorize words.
In the training hall, volunteers help athletes change clothes, accompany them to train, check in; at the check-in office, volunteers carefully check the sports team information over and over again, help athletes get back their belongings on the field in time; at the athletes' boarding points, volunteers sort out and release vehicle connection information and carefully help athletes fix wheelchairs; in the athlete viewing area, volunteers are enthusiastic and thoughtful to guide them and other services; at the doping testing escort station, Volunteers focused on accompanying the athletes to do a series of testing work; in the athletes' rest and waiting area, volunteers relieved the athletes' tension and cheered them up...
The paralympic swimming project is still in full swing, and the volunteers silently dedicate their youth enthusiasm with practical actions, they make the paralympic games more exciting and make the paralympic stories more vivid. In the character education and spiritual baptism brought about by the Paralympic Games and Special Olympics, the volunteers felt the spirit of hard work, experienced the hardships of work, and enhanced their ideological understanding. And they also with a sincere smile and sincere service, let the disabled athletes feel the warmth of the sun, with practical actions to practice the spirit of volunteerism, with heart and affection of volunteer service so that the "volunteer red" on their bodies so beautiful and bright.
