At noon on June 28, local time, the Kathmandu District Administrative Office of Nepal issued an announcement announcing that the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control lockdown measures in the Kathmandu Valley of the capital city would be extended for another week until July 5.

According to the announcement rules, the new round of lockdown measures allows buses with more than 25 seats to travel on the road from 6:00 to 19:00 every day according to the tail number of the license plate, and the operating vehicles must strictly comply with the epidemic prevention regulations.

Previously, in order to prevent and control the epidemic, the Kathmandu Valley banned bus travel since April 29. The new round of lockdown measures has relaxed the restrictions on buses, but still prohibits small and medium-sized buses with less than 25 seats on the road.

The new round of lockdown measures allows shops selling daily necessities such as daily necessities and food to open until 18:00 every day, and supermarkets, shopping malls and other stores that are not daily necessities can be open from 11:00 to 18:00 every day.
