According to the latest reports from The Daily Mail's Newcastle correspondent Craig Hope and the Daily Telegraph's Newcastle correspondent Luke Edwards, they both forwarded the report of Manchester Evening editor-in-chief Samuel Luckhurst on Twitter and confirmed that Newcastle is indeed chasing Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard and hopes to bring him in on loan.

However, Newcastle sources also confirmed that as of now, United's attitude has not changed, and they refuse to release people.
