The Times: Newcastle offers Jesse Lingard a $2 million loan fee + full salary

According to the report of Times reporter Martin Hardy and Manchester reporter Paul Hirst on the 19th local time, Newcastle United officially contacted Manchester United and hoped to sign England attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard.

The Times report was the first to mention the details of the costs, revealing that Newcastle's first contact in December last year (before the winter window opened) hoped to bring in Jesse Lingard in the form of a permanent transfer, but the contact ended in vain.

This is currently the second official contact, newcastle want to bring in Lingard on a short-term loan, and the offer is a loan fee of £2 million, as well as the full payment of Lingard's weekly salary of £80,000 (there are different theories about Jesse Lingard's weekly salary, the specific amount is around £80,000-100,000).

Newcastle's signings director Steve Nixon has been in contact with United's football superintendent Matt Judge to discuss signing the attacking midfielder. However, the Times also mentioned that Manchester United seems to be still refusing to release people on loan, and it remains to be seen whether there will be a change in attitude next.
