Later, I would show my works to my friends around me, and they all said that my style was very suitable for imperial art. I started to feel that something wasn't quite right, I was a good fit for what else I was going to do, I had to challenge or try some different styles.

Speaking of St. Martin's first, in addition to the regular questions, they will be more concerned about whether you really understand what they are doing. The interview teacher pestered me for half a day, whether I had seen their school's works, whether I liked any of the works of this major.
They don't take the initiative to ask questions about the work, mainly listening to yourself. When describing my work, I mainly talked about this project, which I began to study from my college years and lasted for a long time.
My previous research topics were mainly limited to materials, not design. So the teacher was also very interested in this project, and thought that my way of turning the corner was very novel. Finally, I was told not to tell others about this project, and to be careful of others copying you, which is very cute.

However, what is more embarrassing is that my language skills are not very good, and I secretly opened a synchronous translation on the computer during the interview. I don't rely on that thing the whole time, but I can't help but peek.

The purpose of talking about this matter is to tell everyone not to be afraid of their own poor speaking or hearing, in fact, everyone is similar. Anyway, the teacher has to suffer from this every year, so don't be too much psychological pressure.
When I interviewed the Swedish state, they asked me to submit my language scores before January, and I had not yet taken the test, so they also sent me an interview invitation and offer.
So after these two interviews, I really think that what overseas famous schools care about is how your work is, as long as your work is good enough, they can actually tolerate other aspects.

One of my favorite projects is actually related to myself. I've always had some minor problems with my body, and I've been treating conservatively before, and I just didn't have much inspiration when I was doing the portfolio, so I thought about going to have an operation!
Then, there was one of my favorite, the largest, and the most special materials. However, I definitely don't mean to say that everyone has no inspiration to go to surgery, but the theme from their own point of view is actually more advantageous.
Because my main teacher told me that this kind of theme is different from the theme of similar social issues, it is completely from the personal point of view, at least from the starting point, and the examiner basically has no way to refute it. Because you take the time to tell your own life experience, it is quite convincing.
I thought it made all the sense, so I started to do it. In the early stages of the project, I used six illustrations to describe the mental and physical changes in my six-day postoperative hospital stay, to elicit my concept of the whole subject and why I was working on such a project.

In terms of materials, I also made a lot of attempts, and finally chose a more traditional bamboo, one is because I am a very traditional person in my creation, and the other is that bamboo is very similar to bone after deformation and weaving, and it has a certain toughness but is a little fragile in line with my design theme.
The last project
The whole jewelry spread around several parts of my postoperative pain, and after the basic prototype came out, the main teacher suggested that I add some colored silk threads into it, and the bamboo was still too plain and did not change. After that, I weave colored presents in the parts of the work, and the different colors represent the pain and restraint I endured during the treatment, and the form after recovery.

Speaking of this, I would like to solemnly thank my main teacher, who especially respects my ideas and will try to guide me to continue to move forward in the direction of my choice in terms of ideas and processes. Even the school teachers know that I am quite torturous when I create, so the teachers of Chinese Arts met me and were also "crossing the robbery", and I am going to torture the teachers of St. Martin, good luck to them...
