Edison's "hoax", these few things reveal his true face X-ray tape recorder movie pirated movies

We all know that Edison may have been the greatest inventor of all time.

Without a doubt, he holds more than 1,000 patents and has created many of the greatest technologies of all time. He also gained a great deal of wealth for his inventions and was revered by the world.

However, many people also question whether so many great inventions were really invented by Edison.

One of Edison's patents was a clairvoyant mirror, which for the first time made X-rays a usable device. The use of X-rays was a huge boon for medical science, and Edison created a great fortune. However, the person who really invented the human perspective device was the German scientist Wilhelm Langchen. A few years before Edison's see-through lens was invented, he took an X-ray of his wife's hand.

Another household invention of Edison was the creation of a device for recording speech. Edison "invented" the tape recorder in 1877, and 15 years ago, a French printer and bookseller named De Martinville had invented their "tape recorder." This time, Edison still didn't mention De Martinville when he marketed his equipment.

The worst story about Edison is about the invention of cinema. Many see him as the father of cinema, however, there is a fairly conclusive claim that the French inventor Leplins created cinema before Edison. Whoever gets the patent on this film technology will become very rich.

In 1890, Leplins went to England to patent his invention, and then took a boat to the United States to apply for a patent. However, on September 13, 1890, he boarded the train and has not been heard from since. Since then, Leplins' family has continued to seek a patent application. Unfortunately, in 1892, two years after Leplins' son testified in the lawsuit against Edison, he was shot and murdered at Fire Island, New York. To this day, the attackers still have no whereabouts.

We have no evidence that Edison may have been linked to the Leplins affair. But there is no doubt that some of his business is questionable.

There is a theory that when filmmaker Georges Mellie's film Journey to the Moon was released in London, Edison got a copy from a hidden theater owner.

Subsequently, Edison made a large number of copies and brought them back to the United States. He screened pirated films throughout the United States and earned a huge income by showing them, and did not share a penny with Mellie.

When Mellie came to the United States at great expense to show the film, almost everyone here had already seen it. This caused melieus a huge financial loss and even led to his eventual bankruptcy.

There is no doubt that Edison was a brilliant man who successfully transformed our lives in more than 1,000 inventions. But, ironically, he was not a scientific saint as we say in our textbooks when we went to school.
