Recently, the scientific research achievements of Lushan Nature Reserve "Butterfly Chronicles of Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi" were officially published and issued by Jiangxi Science and Technology Publishing House, which is another scientific research masterpiece of Lushan Nature Reserve since the beginning of this year, following "Rare Plants of Lushan Mountain, Jiangxi (Volume I)".

The book includes a total of 228 species of butterflies, taking nearly 2,000 photos, including the morphological description, living habits, spatio-temporal distribution and other information of butterflies, showing readers the resources of Butterflies in Lushan mountain in a graphic and easy-to-understand form, and providing reference for butterfly identification. At the same time, this book also corrects some errors in classification in other literatures, which greatly promotes the development process of butterfly research in Lushan, fills the gap in the global survey of butterfly resources at the same latitude, and provides a strong basis for biodiversity conservation, which has important scientific value and ecological significance.
"Butterfly Chronicles of Lushan Mountains in Jiangxi" is the result of the "Lushan Butterfly Resources Special Survey" project jointly carried out by the lushan nature reserve and the team of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the preliminary field investigation and research collation lasted for a total of 3 years, including the survey results of the biodiversity (butterfly) observation project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the monitoring records of butterflies in the Lushan Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the literature such as "Lushan Butterfly Moth Chronicle".
Through the "Lushan Butterfly Resources Special Survey" project, Lushan Nature Reserve basically found out the local resource status of butterflies in the region, deeply studied the relationship between butterfly population, fauna, diversity and ecological environment, and based on the survey and research results, established a scientific popularization position for Lushan butterfly resources, and relied on it to carry out nearly 100 science popularization activities, giving full play to the dual benefits of scientific research and education.
