Rainbow bee tiger, medium-sized green bee tiger. The primary flight feathers are pale red, the margins are green, and the wingtips are dark grey. The jaws and cheeks are stained yellow. The mouth is slender and curved, and the tail has a streamer.

They often stay on fences, dead branches or hanging wires to wait for prey, preying on various types of flying insects.
Its natural habitats are sandy meadows, savannas, forests near creeks and lakes, and farmland. It also appears in parks, gardens, logging areas and other public event venues.
