The chestnut-throated bee tiger went to Qiao's house to spend the summer
Recently, on the Jinsha River in Duotang Town, Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province, thousands of chestnut-throated bee tigers inhabit the summer. The chestnut-throated wasp is a tropical migratory bird of the genus Bee-tiger in the family Apiaceae, with a chestnut-red throat with black eye stripes, green wings and back, blue tail, and orange-yellow feathers under its wings when flying. Under the sunlight, the whole body shines with a metallic luster, and it is one of the most beautiful birds.
Since 2012, chestnut-throated bee tigers have been found to inhabit and breed in Menggu, Jintang and other townships in Qiaojia County. The chestnut-throated bee tiger was included in the "List of Beneficial or Economically Important Terrestrial Wild Animals Under National Protection" issued by the State Forestry Administration, and was included in the "International Union for Conservation of Nature" (IUCN) 2013 Red List of Endangered Species.
In April, after the Baihetan hydropower station was filled with water, the original habitat of Jintang Town was partially submerged. Just when people were worried about whether the chestnut-throated bee tiger would come to Qiaojia to roost again, not long ago, the chestnut-throated bee tiger reappeared in Jintang Town, nesting on the sand wall that had not yet been submerged.
