Fuzhou, 27 May (Xinhua) -- Since the beginning of summer, a beautiful little bird--Southeast Asian blue-throated bee tiger has flown to the Minjiang River Valley in Xiexi Village, Yanping District, Nanping City, Northern Fujian Province, to build a nest and start the annual "honeymoon" trip.

Located at the confluence of Jianxi and Xixi in the upper reaches of the Minjiang River, Xiexi Village belongs to the central subtropical marine monsoon climate, with dense forests on the mountain and abundant food in the river valley, which is an ideal breeding habitat for birds.

The reporter visited the habitat of the blue-throated bee tiger "childbearing" on the 26th, and saw that the members of the blue-throated bee tiger family continued to shuttle through the riverside beach to forage, and the foraging activity reached a climax at dusk. After nightfall, the elves disappeared into the depths of the forest.

Blue-throated bee tigers forage and frolic up and down very quickly, and the chestnut head, blue throat, black eye lines and blue-green embellished tail wings shine in the sun, which is particularly beautiful.

Wang Naizhu, a veteran birdwatcher in Fujian, said that since the beginning of summer, dozens of blue-throated bee tigers have migrated to Xiexi Village one after another to build nests in the forests of the Minjiang River Valley.

Soon after the baby bird is born, it begins to leave the nest to learn flight and predation skills. In late autumn, blue-throated bee tigers return to Southeast Asia with their families for the winter.

"This is the eighth time that blue-throated bee tigers have come here to nest." Wang Naizhu said. Xiexi Village is considered to be one of the known breeding grounds for the blue-throated bee tiger population in China.

In order to protect the blue-throated bee tiger, Wang Chongnian, a villager in Xiexi Village, piled up a sand pile about 3 meters high on the edge of the Minjiang River, built a bird watching shed, and built a wall. His wife provides accommodation for bird watchers from the north and south of the sky.

In order to see the style of the blue-throated bee tiger, 4 bird photographers from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, rushed to Xiexi Village on the 26th to set up a "long gun and short cannon" to shoot this summer migratory bird, among which the photographer named "Brother Rabbit" on WeChat was lucky to capture the blue-throated bee tiger in flight and kept showing off to his companions.
