Wuhan Evening News (reporter Chen Qixiong) the back feathers are chocolate-colored, and the throat and abdomen feathers grow blue. On September 21, when ma Xiaogang, a photography enthusiast, went to the Longling Mountain Ecological Park in Wuhan Development Zone (Hannan District) to play, he saw six beautiful-looking wild birds standing on the branches of the trees looking east and west. These 6 wild birds are the blue-throated hummingbirds known as "the most beautiful birds in China".

Ma Xiaogang, 50, is an employee of an automobile company in the Wuhan Development Zone (Hannan District) and a photography enthusiast who usually loves to go out with a camera to take photos of birds and landscapes.

Ma Xiaogang said in an interview with reporters that at about 11:00 a.m. on September 21, when he visited the Longling Mountain Ecological Park, he suddenly saw a group of wild birds with beautiful postures perched on the branches of large trees in front of him. The backs of the six wild birds are covered with dark maroon feathers similar in color to chocolate; the throat feathers grow bright sky blue; and the belly feathers are light blue.

Yan Jun, president of the Wuhan Bird Watching Association and an expert in birds, said after watching the photos taken by Ma Xiaogang that the 6 wild birds taken by Ma Xiaogang on the same day were indeed all blue-throated humming tigers. They have blue feathers on their throats, fly quickly, and are particularly fond of preying on bees, so they are named blue-throated bee tigers.

The blue-throated hummingbird is a wild bird of great ornamental value and is known by many people as "the most beautiful bird in China". They are summer migratory birds in Hubei, that is, they nest in Hubei in the summer to breed offspring, and fly to the warm southern regions to overwinter in autumn and winter. In Hong'an County and Dawu County, Hubei Province, the blue-throated bee tiger is a common bird.

Observational records show that every summer, a large number of blue-throated bee tigers gather in the forest around Qiliping in Hong'an County to breed offspring. Therefore, every summer, many birdwatchers come to Hong'an County from all over the country and even the whole world to watch the blue-throated bee tiger.

In other parts of Hubei outside Hong'an County and Dawu County, the number of blue-throated bee tigers is not large. Especially in the Wuhan area, the blue-throated bee tiger is a rare bird.

Because the ecological environment in Wuhan has become better and better in recent years, it is more and more suitable for the survival of wild birds, including the blue-throated hummingbird, when the wild birds are tired during the migration flight, they like to land in the forests, wetlands or parks in the Wuhan area to rest their feet to supplement nutrition and restore physical strength, and then continue to fly to the destination.

The blue-throated bee tiger that Ma Xiao just photographed this time belongs to the wild birds that transited from the Wuhan area when they moved south, "They will continue to fly south after eating and drinking enough and recovering their vitality." Next spring, they will fly back from the south."

Yan Jun reminded the public that the blue-throated bee tiger is sensitive by nature and belongs to the terrestrial wild animals (three animals) with important ecological, scientific and social values protected by the state. When photographing and viewing them, people should keep a certain safe distance from them.
