Born in Valparayre, Chile, in November 1936, Chudio Bravo attended a Jesuit school from 1945 to 1954. He worked as a ballet dancer, wrote poetry, transferred to painting, and took art classes at the Miguel Academy of Fine Arts. From 1954 onwards, Bravo decided to pursue a career in painting.
In 1961 he moved to Europe, where he lived and worked in Madrid, giving portraits of high society. As the scope of social activities expanded, so did his fame, becoming a fashion painter admired and followed by the so-called upper-class public. Although people denied his identity as a true artist at the time, he was calm. After a decade, bravo decided to change this life, so he left the noisy social circle and moved to Tangier, Morocco, where he locked himself up in a quiet world and immersed himself in research and creation.
