People's Daily Tokyo, October 25 According to Kyodo News Agency, the Japanese Foundation announced on the 21st that after investigating the rivers in Okayama, Hiroshima, Kagawa, and Ehime prefectures, there were 1,711 "hot spots" that produced a large amount of garbage.

In order to grasp the source of marine litter in Japan's Seto Inland Sea, the Nippon Foundation surveyed 280 rivers and waterways totaling 1,188 kilometers from December last year to June this year. In their investigations, they found that rivers close to convenience stores or garbage collection stations are prone to a large amount of garbage, and customers throw it away or drop it during recycling is the main cause of this garbage. Among the many garbage, plastic sheets, bottles and cans are the majority. It is estimated that the amount of plastic waste flowing into the Seto Inland Sea from four prefectures can reach 101 tons in half a year.
