In modern times, there is a Yunnan Lecture Hall that has cultivated many talents, including not only Kuomintang generals Zhu Peide, Wang Jun, Jin Handing, Tang Huaiyuan, Fan Shisheng, Hu Ying, Sun Du, Long Yun, Lu Han, and Sheng Shicai, but also Lee Fan-yi, the first prime minister and minister of national defense of the ROK, Wu Haiqiu, chairman of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of Vietnam, Marshal Choi Yong-kin, commander-in-chief of the Korean People's Army, and vice chairman of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

This military academy also trained two founding marshals for our party: Zhu De (the 3rd infantry science student) and Ye Jianying (the 12th artillery science student).

Ye Jianying, who was very handsome, was not only a graduate of the military academy, but also had a very good academic and literary style, known as a "Confucian general." Chairman Mao once said to Chen Yi: "The Seven Laws of Sword Yingshan and the Five Laws of Dong Laoshan, if you want to learn the laws and poems, you can ask them for advice." ”

Ye Jianying was born in 1897 in Meixian County, Guangdong Province. When he graduated from Dongshan Middle School in Meixian County at the age of 18, he wrote down the strong words of "Success is Zhou Wu Sanqian, defeat is Tian Heng 500, can often be changed, can be born and died", talent is talent, early years are revealed! After graduating, he entered the military circles, from the Staff Officer of the Guangdong Army, to the Artillery Instructor, and later to the Battalion Commander of the Marine Corps.

In 1922, the commander of the Cantonese army, Chen Jiongming, defected and shelled the presidential palace, and the 25-year-old marine battalion commander Ye Jianying led the troops to escort Sun Yat-sen out of danger, and Sun Yat-sen liked Ye Jianying very much.

After that, Ye Jianying participated in the preparation of the Whampoa Military Academy and served as the deputy director of the professorial department, and he could enter and exit Chiang Kai-shek's bedroom without a notice and a sword.

Among the ten marshals of New China, Ye Jianying was the only one who had worked under Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek and was deeply trusted.

On April 12, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek staged a counter-revolutionary coup. Ye Jianying resolutely telegraphed against Jiang. He then went to Wuhan and served as chief of staff of the Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army. In July, he secretly joined the Chinese Communist Party amid a white terror.

Those who joined our party during the worst period of the White Terror were all true believers, and such people are very remarkable!

On the eve of the Nanchang Uprising, Ye Jianying was already the chief of staff of the Fourth Army of the Second Front. That is to say, before the establishment of our army, Ye Jianying was a military-level cadre and was very influential in the military circles.

In September 1955, Ye Jianying, Zhu De, Peng Dehuai and others were awarded the rank of marshal at the same time, and were called "Ten Marshals". During this period, Ye Jianying successively served as vice chairman of the Revolutionary Military Commission of the Central People's Government, vice chairman of the National Defense Commission of the People's Republic of China, director of the Supervision Department of the Armed Forces of the people's liberation army Chinese, and president and political commissar of the Academy of Military Sciences.

Ye Jianying, an outstanding leader who has long held important leadership positions in the party, the state, and the army, has won the common respect of the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country.

In his long revolutionary career, Ye Jianying had 5 wives (in his early years, he had an arranged marriage in his hometown and had no children, so it was not counted).

In early 1924, Ye Jianying married Feng Hua, a medical worker, in Guangzhou. In November of that year, he gave birth to the eldest son, Ye Xuanping, and in 1928, he gave birth to the eldest daughter Ye Chumei.

Ye Xuanping graduated from the Mechanical Department of Yan'an Academy of Natural Sciences, and since the 1980s, he has served as vice governor of Guangdong Province, mayor of Guangzhou, governor of Guangdong Province, and was elected vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in 1991.

When Ye Chumei was 17 years old, he was sent by his father Ye Jianying to the ice-cold northeast for tempering, became a soldier of the Northeast Democratic Coalition Army, and served as the deputy director of the Machine Tool Bureau of the Ministry of Machinery Industry after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 1928, Ye Jianying married 18-year-old Zeng Xianzhi in Guangzhou. Zeng Xianzhi was the younger brother of Zeng Guofan.

Wei Gongzhi's marriage to Ye Jianying lasted for a short time. In 1940, Ye Jianying married Wu Bo in Chongqing. Wu Bo was a native of Shanghai and was then a confidential officer of the Chongqing Hongyan Organ of the Southern Bureau. In 1941, Wu Bo gave birth to a daughter for Ye Jianying, named Ye Xiangzhen.

Ye Xiangzhen was lingzi, the director of the later famous film "The Wilderness", her ex-husband was the famous pianist Liu Shikun, and after the divorce she married Qian Zhuangfei's grandson Luo Dan. Qian Zhuangfei was one of the "Three Masters of Longtan" on the early hidden front of our party, and his meritorious service was outstanding.

Wu Bo's marriage to Ye Jianying also came to an end later. At the end of 1948, Ye Jianying, who was then the mayor of Beiping, married Li Gang, a cadet of north China Military and Political University, in Beiping. The two had a son and a daughter, the son was Ye Xuanlian, and the daughter was Ye Wenshan.
