On March 26, the humanistic documentary "Wang Yangming" was launched, which was the first in China to systematically sort out the legendary life and psychological thought of Wang Yangming, a great Confucian of the Ming Dynasty, telling the life experience of Wang Yangming and the far-reaching influence and value of Yangming's psychology with two intertwined clues of ancient and modern times.
The dual perspective of reality and history, the documentary "Wang Yangming" can be described as a major innovation in the form of presentation, it adopts the model of "documentary + drama", and the drama actor Xin Baiqing not only narrates, but also undertakes most of the interpretation work.
In the film, he switches back and forth between the ancient and modern figures: the former, who is wang Yangming's actor, traces the major nodes of the sage's life; the latter is a visitor to the future generations, recalling and feeling nostalgic in the old site of the homeland that has experienced five hundred years of wind and frost, and realizing the spiritual inspiration and ideological enlightenment effect of Yangming Xinxue for future generations.
"Wang Yangming" is divided into five episodes, with five chapters of "Drowning", "Sleepy", "Enlightenment", "Gong" and "Ming" connecting the life of this Ming Dynasty great Confucian.
In the first episode of "Drowning", it mainly goes back to Wang Yangming's adolescence, with Wang Yangming's 35-year-old self-drowning in the river as the entry point of the chapter. Taking "drowning" as a summary of Wang Yangming's life stage stems from his friend Zhan Ganquan summing up Wang Yangming's unique personality and wild spirit at this stage with "five drownings". The "Five Drownings" include: Renxia, Riding Archery, Dictionary, Immortals, and Buddhas, all of which are well described in detail in the first episode.
At present, there is less focus on Wang Yangming's film and television works on the market, and the documentary "Wang Yangming" has a rich audiovisual language and a true interpretation of Wang Yangming's life, while also interpreting the essence of his ideological essence, and will show the essence of Wang Yangming's ideas of "unity of knowledge and action", "to conscience" and "Mingde and the people" through character stories.
