In order to promote the smooth development of neonatal congenital heart disease screening in Wenxian County, on the afternoon of May 17, Wenxian Maternal and Child Health Hospital held an academic exchange meeting on fetal and pediatric congenital heart disease ultrasound. More than 200 people from the expert team of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, the technical backbone of various departments of Wenxian Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and relevant personnel from various counties and townships participated in the event.
The main person in charge of the hospital said that he hoped that through this academic exchange, early detection and early diagnosis of neonatal congenital heart disease would be achieved, the birth defect rate in Wenxian County would be reduced, the survival and quality of life of children with congenital heart disease would be improved, and the burden on society and families would be reduced.
Subsequently, Wang Xinxia, director of the ultrasound department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Henan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, gave an academic report on "Segmental Analysis Method for Ultrasound Diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease" and "Echocardiographic Evaluation of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension". Li Wanwan, a sonographer from Wenxian Maternal and Child Health Hospital, shared her medical records on "Cases of Congenital Heart Disease in Children and Fetuses".
Through this academic conference, the participants enriched the diagnostic knowledge of pediatric cardiac ultrasound, broadened their horizons, and laid a foundation for further screening of neonatal congenital heart disease in Wenxian County.
