Recently, a man Wang played multiple roles, staged a WeChat doppelganger technique, and pretended to be a "rich second generation" to defraud his friend Mr. Zhang of more than 30,000 yuan for his own squandering, and was finally recognized. On May 7, the police of Fancheng Migong Police Station quickly arrested Wang after careful research and judgment in the early stage.
After investigation, Wang is an unemployed vagrant, who came to Xiangyang from other places in January 2024 and met Mr. Zhang by chance, and the two quickly became friends and often had fun together.
One day in April this year, Wang borrowed 5,000 yuan from Mr. Zhang, and in order to further gain Mr. Zhang's trust, Wang used his WeChat account "Xiao Li" and his WeChat account "Waiting for the Wind to Come" to send messages to each other, and used the "Xiao Li" WeChat account to change the notes to "your father", "your mother", "your friend" and other aliases to send messages to his own large number. The content of the information shows that his family is a factory, his family is very rich, his father is a state worker, his mother is the owner of a slaughterhouse, and he has 800,000 yuan in his card, but he can't take it out for the time being, but his parents will soon transfer money to him.
Wang showed Mr. Zhang a screenshot of his chat history with himself, so as to gain Mr. Zhang's trust and defraud Mr. Zhang of more than 30,000 yuan. Until May 7, Mr. Zhang found that the WeChat account "Xiao Li" and the WeChat account "Waiting for the Wind Lai" were both used by Wang, and found that he had been deceived and called the police.
After further interrogation of Wang, Wang said that in fact, he had no proper occupation and no income, and he did not borrow money from Mr. Zhang, so he came up with the idea of pretending to be a "rich second generation" and using the WeChat clone to let Mr. Zhang lend money to him so that he could squander it.
At present, Wang has been criminally detained by the Fancheng police, and the case is being further handled.
