Since 2023, Hubei procuratorates have arrested 269 people and prosecuted 389 people for criminal offenses of intellectual property infringement. Actively performed litigation supervision functions, carried out case filing and supervision in 41 cases, intervened in advance to guide investigations in 41 cases, and corrected 57 cases of omissions, prosecutions, and crimes; More than 4,300 yuan of stolen goods were recovered. Completed 52 civil, administrative and public interest litigation cases of intellectual property. Among them, the trade secret infringement case handled by the Hubei Provincial Procuratorate was included in the White Paper on Criminal Prosecution Work (2023) issued by the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the white paper on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in China in 2023 issued by the State Intellectual Property Office.
From a national perspective, from January to March 2024, procuratorial organs across the country prosecuted more than 3,700 people for intellectual property infringement crimes, accepted more than 300 civil litigation supervision cases involving intellectual property rights, more than 90 administrative litigation supervision cases, and filed and handled more than 100 public interest litigation cases in the field of intellectual property rights.
"It is hoped that the procuratorate will further strengthen the comprehensive protection of intellectual property rights."
