Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Kanaani said on the 14th that Iran has always prohibited the manufacture of nuclear weapons and has not changed its nuclear policy. Iran is negotiating with the IAEA. He also said that Iran supports Palestine becoming a full member of the United Nations and has already opened a virtual embassy of the state of Palestine in the diplomatic system.

Iran hosted the 35th International Book Fair in Tehran from May 9 to 18, and Kanaani also held a weekly press conference at the International Book Fair on the same day. He said Iran was negotiating with the United States through intermediaries on the lifting of sanctions.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Kanaani:

Our diplomatic negotiations with the American side were conducted through good offices within the framework of the negotiations on the lifting of sanctions, and these talks and negotiations went through an almost continuous process. So far, these talks have been held intermittently through intermediaries within the framework of sanctions lifting talks, and they have taken place at regular intervals.

Kanaani said IAEA Director General Grossi's visit to Iran last week was generally positive and hoped that the IAEA would remain impartial in dealing with Iran so that Iran could continue to interact constructively with the IAEA. He stressed that Iran has not changed its nuclear policy.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Kanaani:

There have been no changes or adjustments to the nuclear doctrine of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Kanaani also criticized the inconsistency between the words and deeds of the United States and European countries on the Palestinian issue, stressing that Iran believes that it is necessary to establish an independent Palestinian state and make Palestine a full member of the United Nations, for which Iran voted in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution and expressed its support. Iran has also opened a virtual Palestinian embassy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system to support Palestine.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Kanaani:

The necessary mechanism for the opening of a virtual Palestinian embassy on the homepage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has been open for some time, has been carried out as a test phase in the internal system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kanaani said that India and Iran are implementing an agreement to jointly develop the Chabahar port. He praised India as one of the countries that have worked hard to implement the Iran deal despite US sanctions, saying that the two countries are willing to develop a number of cooperation, including economic cooperation, and do not care about US sanctions.
