On May 12, the 2024 China Coordinate Shanghai Urban Orienteering Outdoor Challenge officially kicked off at Shanghai Stadium. This event was combined with the opening ceremony of the 4th Shanghai Civic Games, which once again set off a grand occasion of 10,000 participants.
Among them, the Yangpu sub-venue route starts from Shanghai Stadium, passes through Rock Park Golf Club, Yangpu Binjiang People's Urban Construction Planning Exhibition Hall, Green Hill, China Modern Press and Publication Museum, Wujiao Occasion Shenghui, Jiangwan Stadium and other check-in points, and finally finishes the game on Daxue Road.

Founded in 2011 and successfully upgraded to "China Coordinates" in 2016, the "Shanghai Coordinate • City Orienteering Challenge" has been successfully held for 13 consecutive years, and is highly sought after by urban white-collar workers and young people. The slogan of this year's event is "Travel with the Event", which aims to lead participants to visit Shanghai's famous tourist attractions, fashion landmarks, trendy sports venues, online celebrity restaurants, cultural exhibition halls, red memorial sites, convenient service facilities, etc., and lead everyone to visit Shanghai Beach in a city-oriented way.
About 12,000 people participated in the competition, with 1 main arena of Shanghai Stadium and 4 sub-venues of Jing'an, Putuo, Yangpu and Lingang. It is divided into 24 theme routes with different characteristics and nearly 150 point markers. The theme of the route includes a river and a river, sports and leisure, food and beverage, cultural reading, red mark, national tide animation, Shanghai time-honored brand, lane culture, business district economy and other industry elements. In terms of point marking, it covers the event into scenic spots, blocks, shopping malls, cultural and museum venues, public service facilities, and red education and publicity points, so as to use the event as a platform and use the crowd gathering effect to fully display high-quality products and services from all walks of life, so as to deeply tap the consumption potential. On the day of the event, the athletes set off to check in at each point, and it is estimated that all athletes will contribute 85,000 passengers to the city.
At noon, athletes arrived at the end of the Yangpu sub-course, Daxue Road, and they took a group photo in front of the memorial wall to celebrate the successful completion of the race. The competition combines the limited-time pedestrian street on Daxue Road, the weekend market and the dining characteristics of Daxue Road, and provides athletes with coupons and discount coupons for catering and various characteristic shops, further driving regional consumption.
It is worth mentioning that, on the basis of last year's cooperation and co-branded shoe buckles, this year's event party once again cooperated with Hui Li to launch a limited edition co-branded T sleeve, bringing new vitality to the old brand. China Post launched event stamps and customized exclusive postmarks and postcards for the event. At the same time, the production of electronic postcards will be provided at the carnival site, integrating the elements of the event and the photos of the athletes into exclusive memories. The orienteering competition is rich in connotation, interesting and fun, and the participating athletes have been greatly satisfied in their hearts and feel the joy and vitality of sports after playing in a circle.
