This morning, with the precise docking of the last section of the Goose Tower Closure Section, the main bridge of Huizhou Goose City Bridge was successfully closed, marking the countdown to the opening of the bridge.
With a total length of 1,119.5 meters, the Echeng Bridge adopts a steel beam and steel arch structure, and is designed according to the two-way 6-lane design, spanning 630 meters of Dongjiang waters. There are 47 sections of steel girders for the main bridge of the bridge, with a total weight of 12,739 tons, and the goose tower part is divided into 5 sections, with a total weight of 343.9 tons. The beam of the Goose Tower Helong section hoisted this morning is 37 meters long, 4.05 meters wide, 13 meters high, and weighs 130 tons. The goose tower and arch rib hoisting equipment adopts 660 tons of 100 meters of arm length floating crane + 1000 tons of transport ship to work together.
Liu Feng, executive deputy manager of the Goose City Bridge Project of China Railway Guangzhou Bureau: The last goose tower of the Goose City Bridge started at 8 o'clock in the morning, lasted three hours, and closed at 10:58 in the morning.
Up to now, the pile foundation of the whole bridge of the Goose City Bridge has been completed, and the A ramp and auxiliary road of Jiangdong No. 1 Road have been opened to traffic. After the completion of the Echeng Bridge, it will effectively alleviate the traffic pressure of the Dongjiang Bridge and become a new artery linking the two sides of the Dongjiang River to benefit the people and prosper.
