In recent years, Lujiang County has begun to collect and store idle farmhouses through multi-channel financing, and transform them into homestays based on local characteristics, injecting new vitality into them while retaining the original style of old houses, and developing a 'farmhouse economy'.
At present, the county has built 37 boutique homestays by using the resources of idle rural houses, and guided farmers to use their idle houses to develop more than 200 public homestays and farmhouse restaurants. The transformation of farmhouses into homestays effectively solves the problems of hollowing out villages and empty nests in rural areas, and also revitalizes idle rural resources, drives the development of rural industries, resource utilization and cultural inheritance, and helps rural revitalization.
