Xu Yihou, a native of Huangpi District, Wuhan, Hubei Province, was born in February 1940, chief physician, professor, master's tutor, nationally renowned Chinese medicine dermatologist, the second batch of national famous old Chinese medicine experts, enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, and was the deputy director of the Surgical Branch of the Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine and the academic advisor of the Chinese Medical Association in Singapore.
Mr. Xu specializes in the treatment of a variety of skin diseases. He has been invited to give lectures in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong for many times, and has a high academic influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Xu Lao was born in an ordinary peasant family, due to social turmoil and poor family background, he basically did not receive education in his youth, but he was fortunate to receive a systematic and formal education in Chinese medicine in his youth. At that time, the teachers who served as their teachers were all Chinese medicine elites in Wuhan, and the dean was Lu Zhenqiao, a famous Chinese medicine scientist.
In July 1963, after graduating with excellent grades, Mr. Xu was assigned to work in Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine under the tutelage of Shan Canggui, a famous doctor in Wuhan. He studied with his teacher for 6 years, and he did his best to pass on the true legacy of Shan Lao. At the same time, Shan Lao recommended to him a large number of must-read Chinese medicine classics. From these medical books, Xu Yihou truly understood the academic essence of the ancient sages of Chinese medicine.
From 1974 to 1975, he studied with Zhao Bingnan, a famous doctor in Beijing. Zhao Lao is a well-known TCM dermatology expert, and it is also the influence of Zhao Lao that Xu Yihou has since embarked on the research of TCM dermatology. Zhao Lao's combination of medicinal essence and specialization, wide and deep, is unique and has benefited him for life.
With the guidance and teachings of many famous teachers, coupled with being good at thinking and diligent in summarizing, Xu Yihou quickly stood out in the field of TCM dermatology and achieved remarkable results. For example, he systematically summarized the drugs used for the treatment of lupus erythematosus and eczema, made an in-depth summary, and found a very accurate medication method in a new way, which greatly improved the clinical efficacy.
Xu Lao's treatment of skin diseases has a very significant feature, that is, if the diagnosis and treatment are ineffective three times, he will overturn the previous ideas and start again. He has extensively reviewed the literature from the complex syndromes, analyzed the right and wrong, and found a new way to treat it. Therefore, Mr. Xu's diagnosis of diseases can basically be cured, especially many incurable diseases, which he has solved one by one.
Professor Xu Yihou has been engaged in clinical, research and teaching in TCM dermatology for more than 50 years. He has published 20 professional works, which have great influence, not only in China, but also translated into many languages and widely circulated around the world.
For example, "Xu Yihou's Dermatology Anthology" is a masterpiece that fully embodies Xu Lao's traditional Chinese medicine thoughts, and the book "Xu Yihou's Clinical Experience in Dermatology" is a collection of Professor Xu Yihou's clinical experience.
