The Chao News reporter also learned through China Railway Express that according to the current policy, pet transportation needs to go through consignment or escort procedures, but bullet trains and high-speed trains do not send live animals, and can only be transported by train.
According to the materials provided by China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the railway department has strict regulations on animal transportation, for example, beasts and birds of prey that will actively attack and harm people, such as snakes, scorpions, centipedes, bees and other animals cannot be consigned or escorted by rail.
In addition, passengers also need to pay attention to the following matters when checking in pets: first, confirm the weight of the pet, that is, it cannot exceed 20 kg; The second is to call the customer service number of China Railway 12306 and China Railway Express 95572 to confirm that the package transportation business has been opened between the cities of origin (the business needs to be opened in the private rooms at both ends); the third is to apply for animal quarantine certificates in advance; Fourth, bring your own shipping container.
