China News Network reporter Li Aiping

In the cramped hotel room, 36-year-old Chen Xinhong "drove" a wheelchair, sat on the bed for a while, picked up the charger and mobile phone on the table, and began to pack his bags for a while, the whole process was crisp and clean.

Three hours later, she would "drive" a wheelchair, get into a car that arrived at the airport, and rush to Hangzhou to carry out her next public welfare undertaking. And it's just a tidbit of her busy life.

Chen Xinhong, who is known as the "wheelchair angel" by the outside world, became a disabled person 9 years ago and has talked about marriage with her boyfriend that year.

Philanthropist

In 2008, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, cared for by a grandmother in her 70s, fell into a pot of boiling water, severely scalded, leaving scars and disabilities. The child's mother was killed earlier by gangsters.

Learning of the child's experience, Chen Xinhong decided to help the child.

At that time, Chen Xinhong had 7 years of volunteer experience, and she used her network resources to help children contact doctors and appeal for social donations.

From the rescue of this child, Chen Xinhong embarked on the road of full-time public welfare. She uses her monthly income, in addition to renting a house and eating, to help the needy groups.

On the road of doing public welfare, Chen Xinhong feels that his value has been reflected.

But fate did not proceed at her pace.

In 2012, Chen Xinhong fell ill with incomplete spinal cord injury because of saving people, resulting in second-degree disability. The doctor told her that the chances of getting back on her feet were slim.

Even during her hospitalization, she did not stop her public welfare undertakings and relied on her mobile phone to remotely control the command on the network. And when she is slightly better, she "drives" a wheelchair around the country.

Her words on her lips were: "Although I can't do heavy physical labor, I am completely competent to do the copywriting, planning and other work required for public welfare." ”

Chen Xinhong said: "All the copywriting is done with mobile phones. Due to the high frequency of mobile phone use, three mobile phones are often after this one is out of power, and then quickly enable the other one. ”

Chen Xinhong said: "Since 2008, the groups I have paid attention to are mainly underage girls, widows and orphans, the elderly, etc., and have rescued hundreds of people. ”

Empty Poet

Because of his literary talent since childhood, Chen Xinhong also worked as an editor of more than a dozen literary websites and established a group of public welfare writers with hundreds of people.

Poet Chen Xinhong, whose pen name is Lian Xin'er, began to publish her works at the age of 12, and so far poetry and other texts have been scattered in domestic journals and anthologies such as "New Century Poetry Dictionary" and "100 Chinese Pioneers", and short reportage literature has also won awards.

Chen Xinhong said humorously: "I am currently home from all over the world, and the writing fees earned from writing poetry are more for public welfare. ”

"My pockets were empty, my bags and bank cards were empty. I gave it all to children and the elderly who needed help. I was a standing person when I could stand, and now in a wheelchair, I am still a standing person." In a poem, Chen Xinhong wrote.

She said: "Public welfare and poetry, in my dictionary of life, can not be less. It is a duet that is intertwined and complementary. (End)
