The song "Please Come to the End of the World", composed in 1982,......, shows the enthusiastic embrace of Hainan in the reform and opening up to the people of the whole country. On April 13, 2018, General Secretary Xi Jinping solemnly announced at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Hainan Province as a special economic zone that the CPC Central Committee decided to support the construction of a pilot free trade zone on the whole island of Hainan and support Hainan to gradually explore and steadily promote the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics;

In recent years, the People's Bank of China has taken the lead in issuing the "Opinions on Financial Support for Hainan to Comprehensively Deepen Reform and Opening-up", and the Hainan Branch of the People's Bank of China has taken the lead in issuing the "Implementation Plan for Implementing the Opinions on Financial Support for Hainan to Comprehensively Deepen Reform and Opening-up" and other documents, guiding the financial industry in Hainan Province to focus on serving the real economy, liberalizing and facilitating trade and investment, and serving the construction of a free trade port, so as to provide financial support for the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics with world influence.

The Hainan Branch of the People's Bank of China focuses on strengthening the top-level design, focusing on empowering financial innovation with digital finance, gathering the joint force of digital finance development in the province, improving the construction of the financial infrastructure system, and building a financial risk prevention and control system.
