Mac sales were $7.451 billion, compared to $7.168 billion in the year-ago quarter. iPad sales were $5.559 billion, compared to $6.67 billion in the year-ago quarter. Sales of wearable devices were US$7.913 billion, compared with US$8.757 billion in the same period last year. Service sales were $23.867 billion, compared to $20.907 billion in the same period last year.
Samsung Electronics released a performance report that preliminarily verified that the company's operating profit (consolidated financial statements) for the first quarter of 2024 increased by 931.87% year-on-year to 6.606 trillion won. Sales increased by 12.82% year-on-year to 71.9156 trillion won (about $52.5 billion). Net profit increased by 328.98% year-on-year to 6.7547 trillion won. Specifically, the Digital Solutions (DS) division, which is responsible for the semiconductor business, reported sales of KRW 23.14 trillion and operating profit of KRW 1.91 trillion. In the Device Experience (DX) segment, sales were 47.29 trillion won and operating profit was 4.07 trillion won.
LG Electronics announced that the company's operating profit for the first quarter of 2024 (calculated on a consolidated financial statement) decreased by 10.8% year-on-year to 1.3354 trillion won. U.S. home appliance group Whirlpool announced its results for the first quarter of 2024. Net sales for the quarter were $4.49 billion, compared to $4.649 billion in the year-ago quarter. Net loss attributable to the Company for the quarter was $259 million, compared to a net loss of $179 million in the year-ago quarter.
Electrolux Group announced its first quarter 2024 results. Net sales for the quarter were SEK 31,077 million (approximately USD 2.86 billion), compared to SEK 32,734 million in the same period last year. The quarterly operating loss was SEK 720 million, compared to an operating loss of SEK 256 million in the prior-year quarter. The loss for the period was SEK 1.23 billion, compared to a loss of SEK 588 million in the same period last year.
Supor's controlling shareholder, France's Groupe SEB, announced its results for the first quarter of 2024. Group revenue for the quarter was 1,893 million euros (approximately $2.04 billion), compared to 1,822 million euros in the prior-year quarter. Revenues in China amounted to 498 million euros, compared to 527 million euros in the prior-year quarter.

Flex Inc. (Flex) announced results for its fiscal fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2024.
