Lin Chengbin, born in 1954, is a native of Youyang Town, Xianyou County. Pseudonym Yuri. He graduated from Xiamen University in 1979 with a major in Chinese Writing, and graduated from the University of Electronic Technology with a major in Library Science in 1987. Former deputy research librarian of Putian Mass Art Museum, former deputy director of Putian Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center. He is currently a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, the Chinese Quyi Artists Association, the Chinese Folk Literature Association, the Chinese Literature Society, the Chinese Culture Promotion Association, etc., and the executive deputy director of the Chinese Buddhist Art Professional Committee. After his retirement, he served as the vice president of the Institute of Arts and Crafts Culture of Putian University and the secretary-general of the Putian Traditional Handicraft Chamber of Commerce.

Cheng Bin has published more than 20 monographs. Among them, books related to the study of Mazu culture include "The Legend of Mazu", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Inheritance", "Mazu Beliefs and Customs", "Meizhou Ancestral Temple Chronicles", "Beautiful Xinghua Bay", "Rural Civilization Theory" and so on.
Cheng Bin has been responsible for more than 100 intangible cultural heritage application materials, and has successfully passed the municipal, provincial and national intangible cultural heritage project review. Among them, the "Mazu Belief and Customs" category projects include the national "Meizhou Ancestral Temple Mazu Festival"; the provincial "Mazu Belief and Customs", "Mazu Sea Festival", "The Legend of Mazu", "Meizhou Women's Costume and Headwear", "Wenfeng Palace Mazu Three Gifts", "Hanjiang Mazu Cane Tower", "Mazu Banquet", "Mazu Tribute", "Mazu Returning to Mother's Home"; Make the intangible cultural heritage items related to the Mazu belief as safe as possible.
Cheng Bin has won 46 awards at or above the provincial level in his artistic creation. Among them, the art works related to the promotion of Mazu culture include "Song of Zhongmen" (second prize of Fujian Provincial Song Competition), "Hope for Return" (China TV Music Golden Eagle Award), "Strait Passage" (first prize awarded by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee), "Mazu Goddess Should Smile and Comfort" (selected by the Central Propaganda Department as the only musical work in the country to be played to the universe on the Shenzhou 7 spacecraft). The National Key Research Project of Art Discipline Contribution Award for the Compilation of Literary and Artistic Chronicles and Data Collation, the Commendation Award for the Compilation of Literary and Artistic Chronicles of the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture, and the Advanced Worker of the National Key Research Project of Arts and Sciences.
