"Every year the barracks open differently, and I want to visit again next year. On the afternoon of 2 May, the 18th opening of the barracks of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Macao Garrison came to a successful conclusion.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland and the 25th anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army stationed in Macao, the Macao Garrison has carefully designed display courses, added interactive and experiential activities on the basis of traditional open content, and arranged confrontational and combat-oriented content, so that the audience can experience different wonderful and shocking.
During the three-day opening of the barracks, nearly 10,000 Macao students, middle school students and citizens walked into the PLA stationed in Macao to observe the national flag-raising ceremony, the display of military training items, the display of equipment and military quartermasters, and social performances.
"I came early with my children, and my son and daughter both liked the PLA, and although it was raining, the children's enthusiasm did not diminish at all. Mr. Liu, a citizen of Macao, told reporters that watching the officers and soldiers brave the rain to show different types of training scenes, he was infected by the spirit of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) who was unhindered and fearless.
"This is the first time I've seen such a wonderful military performance!" Lin Junze, a student from the Affiliated School of Applied Sciences of the University of Macau, could not hide his excitement, and he and his classmates came to visit the barracks, watch military performances on the spot, immerse themselves in military training, and learn about national defense and military knowledge, making this year's "May Day" full of educational significance.
It has been learned that as a bridge for communication and exchanges between the troops stationed in Macao and the Macao compatriots, the opening of the barracks has become a brand of military culture and national defense education that is welcomed and loved by the Macao compatriots.
Since the beginning of this year, the Macao Garrison has also actively participated in social welfare activities such as voluntary tree planting and blood donation, regularly organized national defense education activities such as training for national flag bearers and visiting military exhibition halls, invited Macao calligraphers and painters to enter the barracks and officers and soldiers to create calligraphy and painting together, strengthened military cultural exchanges, and extensively exchanged friendship and exchanges with Macao compatriots, thus constantly condensing the strong positive energy of patriotism and love for Macao.
