Introduction to Art

Yu Zhongren was born in Changchun in 1939. He enlisted in the Army in 1958 and graduated from the Second Aviation Academy of the Air Force in 1963. He is a famous contemporary Chinese calligrapher, currently the vice chairman of the China Arts and Crafts Association, the director of the China Poetry Association, the Chinese ceramic artist, the member of the Chinese Photographers Association, the special calligrapher of the Chinese National Rite, the distinguished calligrapher of the Beijing Shenzhou Boyi Art Institute, the member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, the first person in Chinese chopsticks and spoon calligraphy, and a senior photojournalist. Yu Zhongren's chopsticks and spoon calligraphy is well-known at home and abroad, and has been invited to Japan, South Korea, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao and other places for cultural exchanges. His calligraphy works have been exhibited in Australia, Russia, France, Japan and South Korea. Central, provincial and municipal television stations have reported his chopsticks and spoon calligraphy works 30 times. A total of 89 articles have been reported on his chopsticks and spoon calligraphy by the People's Daily, the Economic Evening News, Ta Kung Pao, the China News Network, the Overseas Chinese Daily, the Chunichi Shimbun of Japan, and the Sing Tao Daily of Canada. Now published "Selected Calligraphy Works of Yu Zhongren Chopsticks and Spoons", "Selected Calligraphy Works of Yu Zhongren", "Special Issue of Interview with Chinese Literary and Artistic Celebrity Yu Zhongren", "Chinese Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Masters - Yu Zhongren", "Special Issue of New Chinese Literary and Artistic Masters Yu Zhongren to Commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up". In recent years, calligraphy works have been selected by the postal service for many times, and 5 sets of themed philatelic products have been published. His calligraphy works were reported on 16 websites at the same time. In 2007, he was reviewed and assessed by the National Copyright Administration and the China News Protection Center as the first person in Chinese chopsticks and spoon calligraphy.
