Subsequently, the participating leaders visited the Cultural Palace, watched the training of volleyball players, experienced dryland curling, appreciated calligraphy and painting, paper-cutting, flower arrangement and other works, and felt the achievements of the construction of the Cultural Palace.
The implementation of the "lighting project" of the Workers' Cultural Palace is a powerful measure for Hexi District to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on the work of the working class and trade unions, and it is also an important starting point for improving the quality of life of employees and promoting the development of employees' cultural undertakings. The gymnasium of Block A of the Hexi District Workers' Cultural Palace has a construction area of about 4,000 square meters, integrating sports and fitness, cultural and sports training, conference performances and other service functions, and has set up more than 10 service functional areas such as fitness area, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball sports area, mother and child room, decompression room, staff library, multi-function hall, etc., which are open to the majority of employees.
In the next step, the Hexi District Federation of Trade Unions will adhere to the direction of public welfare and service, carry out socialized and market-oriented operation, and build the Workers' Cultural Palace into a "big school" for more than 900 grassroots trade unions in the district to organize staff training and education, a "new stage" to improve their skills and literacy, and a "good paradise" to enrich their spiritual and cultural life, so as to further stimulate the entrepreneurial passion of the majority of workers in the district, and make new and greater contributions to the construction of a strong economic zone and a city of quality.
