When I was a child, I was a pure Korean drama fan, and the first thing I did when I came home from school every day was to turn on the TV and watch romance dramas such as "Full House of Romance" and "Kitten in the Tower". At that time, I always fantasized about being the heroine in the play and having a vigorous love affair with the handsome male protagonist. Once, I finally mustered up the courage to take a trip to Korea to see what the place I've always wanted to look forward to. I thought to myself, this time I can finally experience the romantic atmosphere in Korean dramas, and maybe I can meet a handsome Korean Oba! But ah, when I arrived in South Korea, I realized that fairy tales are all lies!
Those high-rise buildings and bustling streets that often appear in Korean dramas are indeed there, but there are many unknown stories and truths hidden behind them. Did you know? One time I was wandering the streets of South Korea and I saw an old woman begging. She was ragged, her face was full of vicissitudes, and she looked very pitiful. This scene made me feel very uncomfortable, because I had never seen such a scene in a Korean drama.
Also, the Korean food culture was an eye-opener for me. Although there are always various delicacies in Korean dramas, which look particularly tempting, in fact, the taste of Korean food is very different from ours. I tried some local specialties and some of them were really unique and a little hard for me to accept. However, there are also some delicacies that suit my taste, such as the kimchi, which is sweet and sour, and quite appetizing.
This trip to Korea made me deeply aware of the gap between reality and fantasy. Korean dramas give us a good image of Korea, but in fact, every country has its own strengths and weaknesses. We must not only be deceived by the superficial beauty, but also understand and experience the real culture and customs.
To be honest, I was really a little disappointed when I traveled to Korea this time. I thought I could experience the romantic atmosphere in Korean dramas, but I found that the gap between reality and fantasy was too big. Although the South Korea in Korean dramas is beautiful, the real Korea also has its own charm and characteristics.

I had to choose carefully, for fear of buying a fake or defective product. It seems that you have to keep your eyes open when shopping!
Although I was a little disappointed during this trip to Korea, I also gained a lot. I got to see the real Korea and felt its charm and characteristics. Although there is a gap between reality and fantasy, it does not affect my love and curiosity about Korea.
