On April 29, the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee held a meeting to listen to the implementation of the urban environmental quality improvement action, as well as the report on the promotion of the "Millions of Projects" in Pingdong Community, Shizhou Village and Yangmei Village, and to study the next stage of work. The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to unswervingly promote the refined and intelligent management of the city, in-depth implementation of the urban smooth project, "on both sides of the river, on both sides of the road, under the viaduct" environmental improvement, highlight the fence management along the road, greening and beautification, environmental cleaning, and constantly improve the level of urban governance modernization. It is necessary to adhere to the simultaneous implementation of urban renewal of "demolition, governance and rejuvenation", steadily promote the transformation of urban villages, increase the environmental improvement of back streets and alleys, and continuously improve the quality of life of residents. It is necessary to scientifically promote the demolition of illegal buildings in the city, leave white space to increase greenery, and insert green in the cracks, speed up the construction of waterfront space, green parks, and space under bridges, consolidate and improve the effectiveness of water environment governance, and strengthen the green ecological background of the city.
The meeting emphasized that the secretary of the village (community) party organization in the city should firmly practice the people-centered development thinking, deeply understand what the masses think, hope and wish, and mobilize the masses to participate in the "Millions of Projects" and the construction of green and beautiful Foshan, so as to form a good situation of co-construction, co-governance and sharing. It is necessary to develop and strengthen the village-level collective economy, improve the policy mechanism in the spirit of reform and innovation, revitalize idle and inefficient land, promote the efficient development and utilization of land reserved for the rural collective economy, and promote the preservation and appreciation of rural collective assets. All departments at all levels should care about the work and growth of village (community) cadres, vigorously guard against formalism and bureaucracy, and continue to reduce pressure and burden on the grassroots level.
