Affected by the U.S. ban, the highest-end AI chip H100 that NVIDIA has listed, the price has continued to rise sharply in the domestic market, but the spot price of AI servers equipped with H100 in China has fallen rapidly by more than 10% recently.

Although the United States has an export ban on AI chips, some dealers still take risks and hoard H100 chips through some special channels. For example, it was previously reported that in the Shenzhen Huaqiangbei electronics market, the transaction of H100 chips still exists, but all of them have been transferred underground, mainly through purchasing agents or shell companies set up overseas to introduce them to the mainland, so some domestic universities, research institutions, and enterprises, as long as they pass through special dealer channels, can still obtain NVIDIA's AI chips, but the supply is relatively limited, which has also led to many "scalpers" from speculating in goods to the price difference.

According to the news, the price of the server equipped with H100 (8 cards) in China was once as high as more than 3 million yuan (more than 420,000 US dollars), which is about 50% higher than the official price of 280,000 to 300,000 US dollars.

However, as H200 will be sold in the second quarter of this year, H100 will also become a "previous generation" product, and the middlemen who hoarded H100 were therefore eager to sell their inventory and began to continue to sell, resulting in a rapid decline in prices, and the recent servers equipped with H100 on the mainland black market fell to about RMB 2.7 million to 2.8 million yuan, and the spot price in Hong Kong fell to about RMB 2.6 million, a decline of more than 10%.
