On April 29, a video circulated online showed an elderly man breaking down and crying in the departure hall of Shanghai's Pudong International Airport, shouting hoarsely: "Bring my child back, give me back my child!"

On the evening of the same day, the surging news (www.thepaper.cn) reporter learned from people familiar with the matter that because of flight delays, the airline arranged for passengers to go to the hotel in batches to rest. The elderly man and his party were several people, including an elderly man who had undergone surgery before and a teenage child who was arranged to go to the hotel first. However, the old man in the video did not know it, thinking that his child was lost, so he cried. After the above incident, airport staff brought the elderly man's companions back to him, including the child who had been mistaken for a lost child.
