As the director of the mining workshop, Sun Fuchen shoulders important responsibilities and missions. Not only did he have to manage the production coordination and work deployment of the first phase of the four shafts and the second phase of the roadway construction, but he also had to face a variety of complex and changeable work problems. However, in the face of these challenges, Sun Fuchen always rose to the occasion with full enthusiasm and firm faith.
In March 2020, Sun Fuchen became the director of the mining workshop. In the various tasks undertaken by the project construction, he always puts the interests of the company in the first place, takes the trust of the company's leaders as the driving force, and firmly and persistently carries forward the enterprise spirit of "doing real work immediately".
The mining workshop is mainly responsible for the production coordination and work deployment of the first phase of the four shafts and the second phase of the roadway construction. The production management of the mine is complicated and the work is trivial, and the equipment, materials, and materials required for the underground production are all approached by him, including some temporary work that is uploaded and distributed. In the face of different work problems, every day I see him going back and forth, busy and busy, but Comrade Sun Fuchen has never complained about this, because he is well aware of the responsibilities that he should shoulder in this post.
Safety is a top priority for a mining company. In Sun Fuchen's eyes, safe production is as important as everyone's life. Wherever there is danger, Sun Fuchen will appear there. For decades, Sun Fuchen has kept the bottom line of safety like a life. Everyone commented: "On the issue of safety management, he doesn't give anyone face!"
As a veteran miner with 35 years of experience, Sun Fuchen knows that the focus of safety management is at the grassroots level, and the difficulty of safety management is on the site. Every day he will pounce on himself, with the problem of going down the well, which place is the weak link of safety, which place is easy to leave potential safety hazards, basically do it in his heart, as long as he leads the team down the well can find the problem in time, rectify the hidden danger in time, and eliminate unsafe factors.
Years of work experience and a strong sense of responsibility have trained him to have a pair of "sharp eyes".
Once, Sun Fuchen walked into a tunnel of the air inlet shaft, only to see a driller was concentrating on the drilling operation, Sun Fuchen with keen insight, immediately found a huge pumice stone on the roof, he shouted "stop". Without waiting for the on-site operators to react, Sun Fuchen took a crowbar, aimed at the gap of the pumice stone and gently pried it, "whoosh", a visual inspection of several hundred catties of pumice fell from the roof, and the people present were shocked into a cold sweat, if it was not for Sun Fuchen to arrive in time, the consequences would be unimaginable. Sun Fuchen said that similar situations have been encountered several times during the construction of the shaft.
In 2023, the project will enter the construction stage of roadway excavation from the wellbore to the construction stage of flat roadway excavation, and the construction site will strictly implement the system of one post and two responsibilities.
In view of the 1000m horizontal distribution chamber of the air inlet shaft and the rock crushing problem of the roof of the temporary substation, Sun Fuchen went deep into the construction site day and night to conduct safety inspections.
Construction progress is the key lifeblood of project construction. In order to speed up the progress of the project, coordinate and solve the problems in the construction of the project in a timely manner, he and the technical members of the mining workshop took turns to squat at the construction site on duty, focusing on solving the problems in the construction process and speeding up the construction progress to the greatest extent.
During the construction of the well, the tunnel face of each level could not be opened, large-scale equipment could not be used, and a large number of personnel could not be used, and the amount of water inflow from the well wall greatly exceeded the design parameters, resulting in the actual production progress far behind the planned task. In order to reverse this passive situation, Comrade Sun Fuchen went deep into the construction site, coordinated and smoothed out the connection of various processes on the site, and at the same time optimized the design with the design department. Through advanced planning and dynamic control, we can accurately predict and carefully organize production for situations that may affect the construction progress. It has successively won a series of victories such as "the bottom of the main shaft", "the completion of the 1465 belt lane ahead of schedule", the "completion of the construction of the auxiliary shaft 1260 and 1320 Matoumen ahead of schedule", "the completion of the water discharge task of the -1000 level of the air inlet shaft on schedule", "the completion of the drainage system excavation task of the -1000 level of the air inlet shaft on schedule", "the early recovery of the wellbore of the second phase of the return air well" and so on.
From October 16 to 17, 2023, the task of dredging water at the level of -1000 in the air inlet well ushered in an important moment, and the grouting task of the well wall was heavy. Sun Fuchen did not leave his post throughout the whole process, and stuck to the underground position for 16 hours, showing his incomparable perseverance and determination. On March 17, 2024, the slurry mat work of the return air well was tense again, and Sun Fuchen once again put on the battle, fighting from 7 o'clock in the evening until more than 4 o'clock in the morning the next day, before finally having the opportunity to return to the ground for a little rest. However, he did not choose to rest for too long, and threw himself into the battle again at 2 p.m., and held out until 2 o'clock in the middle of the night.
In order to facilitate work, Sun Fuchen and his wife rented a house in a village near the mining area to ensure that the project department was on call. Sun Fuchen said that the middle level is the implementation, the work performance is reflected in the target implementation rate, and the responsibility of the middle level is to find problems and solve problems. Every night in the dead of night, Sun Fuchen often couldn't sleep, feeling that his work was like an unfinished circle, for fear of leaving a tail. Which work face has to shoot a few shots a day, a few meters into the footage, Sun Fuchen is engraved in his heart, and he feels that he can't do it if he can't do it, and Fuchen said, "I will take the job as my own business."
In Sun Fuchen's calendar, there is no concept of holidays at all, and the only time he returned home in the four years of Huijin Mining was in 2021, when his father was dying, he hurried back and accompanied his father for just seven days. A few days later, when he stepped into the mine again, his father's death was an irreparable fact. Such a story is like the reincarnation of fate, and in 2016, his mother's illness also made him anxious. For the same seven days, he tried his best to protect it, but a week later, the bad news on the other end of the phone made him regret it and became an eternal pain in his heart.
For Sun Fuchen, going down the well has long become a habit. I heard Sun Fuchen's co-workers talk about the days when he was the director of the mine a few years ago, and he got up at half past three in the morning every day and plunged headlong into the deep mine. At half past eight in the morning, he returned to the surface in good spirits and carefully arranged the day's work of dividing the mines. You may not imagine that in the mine, he has to walk more than ten kilometers every day, but for Sun Fuchen, this has long been integrated into his life and has become an indispensable part of him.
Many people around me couldn't figure it out when they saw Sun Fuchen working so hard, what the hell is this? Sun Fuchen said: I have figured it out for myself, that is, I want to be worthy of this job.

Fulfill their duties, innovate and increase efficiency, and solve problems
Reducing costs and increasing efficiency requires innovation, and innovation comes from practice. "Where there are difficulties, there is a need for innovation", this is a sentence that Sun Fuchen often said to his subordinates.
Over the years, he has been conscientious in his work and has solved many operational problems. When encountering problems, he always has to go to the scene to carefully find the cause of the problem, find out the actual situation on the spot, and then start to innovate and transform to ensure that the one-time solution is complete.
On the second day of the Lunar New Year in 2024, Sun Fuchen couldn't wait to lead the team deep into the well. Back in 2003, according to the statistics of the project department, Sun Fuchen went underground for more than 300 days a year.
Grouting water control is the top priority of underground construction operations. The project department specially assigned Sun Fuchen, an experienced expert, to keep an eye on the whole process. He led a grouting team composed of elites from various departments to work in shifts 24 hours a day to ensure first-class grouting quality and minimal material loss. In this way, with the concerted efforts of everyone, the water volume of the return air well was reduced by 30 cubic meters, and the water volume of the main shaft and the air inlet shaft was also reduced by more than 20 cubic meters.
In view of the complex water system in the middle section of each level, the company requires the downhole operation to carry out secondary verification by means of advanced short exploration of water in the area with doubts and after grouting in the area after grouting in advance. Sun Fuchen arranged a special person to establish a water exploration account in the workshop, cooperated with the company's water prevention and control department to strengthen the control of advanced water exploration, and summed up the "short, flat and fast" "exploration and injection" mode, and the water exploration equipment increased from a single water exploration equipment on the palm surface to more than 2 units, and the water exploration time on the tunnel face was shortened to 60% compared with the original, which greatly improved the operation efficiency. Not only that, Sun Fuchen also optimized the excavation support operation process, optimized the excavation support operation process, drilling in the front, spraying grout in the back, parallel operation, and stopping when firing the gun, which greatly saved the operation time. Taking the current excavation of the return air shaft as an example, the section of 3.8 meters, every 14-15 hours can shoot a shot, "three shifts" rolling shifts, the original goal is to produce 80 cans of slag per day, now it has reached 90-100 cans, the highest to 103 cans, and the efficiency of improvement has come up all of a sudden. Drilling in the front and spraying in the back, the two are carried out in parallel, and only a moment is paused when the cannon is fired.
In the daily management activities, Sun Fuchen has always instilled a concept in the employees: efficiency is the lifeline of the enterprise! In the construction of the project, every penny saved is very important. Therefore, Sun Fuchen has done meticulous management, and even the use of every anchor rod in the underground is not spared.
At the underground construction site, Sun Fuchen was like a detective, keenly found the thorny problems such as "the generation of secondary drainage costs", "repeated repair of bolt mesh" and "-1000 horizontal ventilation difference and high temperature", in the face of these problems, he personally went deep into the site, analyzed the root cause of the problem, and repeatedly communicated with the construction unit and the design department to discuss countermeasures.
After some efforts, Sun Fuchen led the team to take targeted optimization measures such as "adding and renovating the interception tank", "using the lock anchor rod of the previous support to reduce repeated support", "using the natural wind flow through the -1000 roadway to optimize the operating conditions of the -1000 roadway". These measures not only allow the company to save nearly 500,000 yuan per year in the bolt anchor net lap project, but also save nearly 150,000 yuan per year for the optimization scheme of the interception tank.
In the face of the emergency situation of damage to the return and drainage pipeline and the blockage of the water pump due to debris, Sun Fuchen always took the lead and was the first to convene party members to repair and clean up, and used practical actions to ensure the smooth operation of the water pumping system. According to incomplete statistics, in recent years, he has personally participated in more than 20 pump cleaning and more than 40 pipeline repairs, and has put a total of 23 pipelines with a total length of 16,000 meters.
In the past four years, he has forged an uneven mining team into a "trump card division" who dares to fight tough battles with a sincere heart. Since the start of construction of the Shaling Gold Mine Project of Laizhou Huijin Mining in May 2019, the mining workshop led by Comrade Sun Fuchen has successively won the 2022 Laizhou Innovation Demonstration Team and the Company's 2022 and 2023 Advanced Collectives.
In the face of many honors, Sun Fuchen did not revel in them, let alone regard achievements as private treasures.
