On April 28, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission released a message that according to the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision: Lv Chuanwen, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. of Dongfeng Company, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Supervision Commission of Yichang City, Hubei Province.
Tianyancha information shows that Dongfeng Motor (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. was established in December 1993, formerly known as Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., the legal representative is Li Wei, the registered capital of the enterprise is 47063034000 yuan, and the paid-in capital is 4706303000 yuan. The company is wholly owned by Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd.
According to public information, Lu Chuanwen is a "veteran" figure in the Dongfeng department, who has worked in Dongfeng Company for many years, and has successively served as the director of the cadre department of the organization cadre department of Dongfeng Motor Company, the director of the cadre division of the personnel (cadre) department of Dongfeng Motor Company, the deputy director of the personnel (cadre) department of Dongfeng Motor Company, the director of the Organization and Information Department of Dongfeng Motor Company, the secretary of the Party committee, the secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, the acting chairman of the labor union of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., and the secretary of the party committee of Dongfeng Motor (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. of Dongfeng Company.
In April 2017, Lv Chuanwen was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Acting Chairman of the Labor Union of Dongfeng Renault. In April 2020, Dongfeng Motor Group announced that in view of the decline in the domestic automobile market and the operating conditions of Dongfeng Renault, Dongfeng Renault intends to reorganize, Renault intends to transfer 50% of its shares to Dongfeng Motor Group, and Dongfeng Renault will cease business activities related to the Renault brand. Among them, two executives were investigated in April alone, including Pan Jiannian, supervisor of Dongfeng Motor Industry Import and Export Co., Ltd., and Wang Shuou, former member of the Standing Committee of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company, former secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and chairman of the labor union of Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd.
Prior to this, in March, four executives of Dongfeng Company were also investigated. On March 12, Chen Yafu, the former chief professional of Dongfeng Light Engine Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and the Yicheng Supervision Committee of Hubei Province; on March 19, Lv Weidong, honorary chairman of Dongfeng Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Company, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Hefeng County Supervision Committee of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hubei Province; and on March 21, Hu Xindong, former executive vice president of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and lawOn March 31, Xu Tiansheng, commercial director of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Dongfeng Company and the Shiyan City Supervision Committee of Hubei Province.
Due to the long and large scale of the industrial chain, the automotive industry is relatively prone to corruption, and it is also a key industry facing the challenge of corruption risks. It should be noted that the business conditions of automobile companies are highly related to corruption, and once corruption occurs, it is likely that problems such as unqualified parts and components will occur, which will affect brand reputation and corporate image.
