According to Thai media news, recently, the first local police chief of the Thai National Police, the chief of the Pathum Thani Provincial Police and others led the investigation team to conduct a raid on the warehouse building of a trading company in Khlong Luang County, Pathum Thani Province.
As for the operation, the police received a report from the victim that they found that the product purchased on the TikTok platform did not have the product label and the food serial number of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), so they judged that it might be an inferior product. Upon receipt of the complaint, the Police immediately launched an investigation and applied for a search warrant to investigate on April 23 after learning that the goods originated from the above-mentioned areas.
After investigation, it was found that 9 employees were working inside, 4 of whom were foreign workers and none of them had obtained any legal work permits, and the other 5 were Thai employees, who were taken back to the police station for investigation and interrogation. At the same time, the police seized a total of 19 categories of unlabeled and numbered goods, such as snacks, milk, instant noodles, etc., totaling more than 1,490 boxes, as well as one computer for online sales.
At present, the police will prosecute those involved in the case in accordance with relevant laws such as the Food Law and the Customs Law, and charge four foreigners with the crime of illegally working in Thailand. Further investigation found that the above-mentioned warehouse had been registered as a legal person and was named Chu xin Trading Co., Ltd., and the police were expanding the scope of the investigation to prosecute the relevant personnel in accordance with the law.
