At the Starbucks Wangfujing store, law enforcement officers found that the store had irregularities such as imported food without a code, food and non-food storage not being classified, and food additive use not being publicized. At the Starbucks Guojin Street store, law enforcement officers found that imported food was not coded, food and non-food storage were not classified, and the use of food additives was not publicized. Law enforcement officers demanded that the two stores carry out rectification and report the materials to the municipal supervision department. After investigation, the use of expired ingredients was not found in the four stores in the jurisdiction.
On December 14, the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Department launched a surprise inspection of some Starbucks stores. On the afternoon of the 14th, market supervision personnel inspected the storage of food raw materials in Starbucks Qibao Vanke Plaza store. In response to the disposal of expired materials, the store manager issued a relevant record to the market supervision personnel, and the store manager said that the scrap food will be discarded and disposed of uniformly according to the regulations after the end of business, and there is a monitoring record. The relevant personnel of the Minhang District Market Supervision Bureau said: "The raw materials of the inspection period have not been inspected at the scene, and the handling of raw materials and products in the temporary period meets the requirements of the store." In addition, in response to the health problems of bar operation involved in the report, market regulators also conducted inspections.
On December 14, the Suzhou Municipal Market Supervision Bureau conducted a full-coverage surprise inspection of 226 "Starbucks" stores in the city. Among them, the supervision and inspection results of 208 stores are: meet (food safety requirements). The remaining 18 stores have problems such as irregular purchase and sales inventory and scrap records, unfilled garbage cans in the processing area, unsealed storage of opened ingredients, individual employees not wearing masks when operating, and mixing food and non-food in warehouses.
