On the occasion of the 9th China Aerospace Day, the Sixth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group and its affiliated units closely followed the theme of this year's Aerospace Day, organized and carried out a special seminar on the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" and the awarding ceremony of the National Qian Xuesen Scientist Spirit Education Base Consortium, aerospace science lecture hall and popular science exhibition, etc., to widely publicize the achievements of China's aerospace industry, inherit and carry forward the aerospace spirit, popularize aerospace science knowledge, and display the achievements of liquid power development.
On April 24, on the occasion of the ninth "China Aerospace Day", the Sixth Academy held a grand flag-raising ceremony.
On the eve of the Aerospace Day, under the guidance of the News Center of the Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Party and Mass Department of the Group Company and the Shaanxi Provincial Office of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Sixth Academy organized a special seminar on the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" and the awarding ceremony of the National Qian Xuesen Scientist Spirit Education Base Consortium, and more than 230 leading guests from all over the country gathered in Hongguanggou to discuss and exchange new ways and new measures to carry forward the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" and the spirit of Qian Xuesen scientists in the new era. In accordance with the unified deployment of the Provincial Office of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the special exhibition boards of "China Aerospace Day" were printed and distributed to relevant schools in Xi'an, and the "Oral History" work promotion meeting and the book awarding ceremony of "The Development Process of Continental Liquid Rocket Engine Test Technology - Memoirs of Lei Maochang" were organized.
On April 22, the Taibai County Designated Support Group of Aerospace Science and Technology Group and the Taibai County Education and Sports Bureau held the "Polar Eyes Chutian and Xinghan - 'China Aerospace Day' Great Power Craftsmen into the Classroom Activity" in the multi-functional hall of the junior high school in Tsuitou Town, Taibai County, and invited He Xiaohu, a CNC lathe worker, a special technician, a senior engineer in the 35th workshop of Xifa Company, and the 2022 "Great Country Craftsman of the Year" to bring a wonderful and vivid lecture to the teachers and students of Taibai County.
On the day of the Aerospace Day, the Sixth Academy and the community of the Sixth Academy joined hands with caring units and teams to carry out nearly 20 volunteer services for the retired employees and community residents of the Sixth Hospital, including free clinics, voluntary haircuts, food safety, traffic safety, community services and other convenient services, with 10 volunteer service teams and nearly 80 volunteers providing volunteer services for more than 1,000 veteran comrades and community residents.
In addition, all units affiliated to the Sixth Academy also held parent-child activities with the theme of Aerospace Day, an open day for aerospace families, and an observation and launch activity for outstanding employees, so as to inspire the children of employees to carry forward the spirit of patriotic struggle, take aerospace heroes as an example, and enhance national pride.
Wang Jianqiang, deputy chief engineer of the special valve business department of the 11 institutes of the Sixth Academy of Beijing, was invited to give a speech under the national flag of "inheriting the spirit of aerospace and striving to be an aspiring navigation treasure" for the teachers and students of the three primary schools in the East Highland; Jiang Liandong, deputy chief engineer of the 101 institutes of the Sixth Academy, was invited to participate in the popular science teaching activities of Yungang Middle School affiliated to Capital Normal University, and told the students about the rocket engine test and the development of the Winter Olympic torch with the title of "The Story of "Rocket" and "Torch"; The Youth Power Volunteer Service Team walked into the campus and presented a lecture on aerospace science popularization with the theme of "Polar Eyes and Chutian Together" for more than 200 students of the Fourth Primary School of Xi'an Aerospace City. Through systematic explanation, it will popularize aerospace knowledge for students, guide students to approach and love aerospace, and stimulate the enthusiasm of young people to advocate science, explore the unknown and dare to innovate.
More than 100 students from many primary and secondary schools, including Aerospace Primary School and Jingkai Sixth School, visited the Aerospace Liquid Power Exhibition Center in batches, and jointly with the Central Primary School of Hekou Town, Fengxian County, carried out the "Building Dreams of Aerospace and Sailing for the Future" China Aerospace Day Science Popularization Activity in the Fengzhou Experimental Zone. The series of activities popularized aerospace knowledge, carried forward the spirit of aerospace, and stimulated students' enthusiasm for exploration and innovation.
As one of the main activities of the 9th "China Aerospace Day", the series of aerospace science popularization exhibitions were held in Wuhan International Expo Center. In the aerospace industry achievement exhibition area, the Sixth Long Motion Group exhibited a 700-ton inclined test frame project model. The exhibition also showcased the achievements of independent innovation, leapfrog development and international cooperation in the aerospace industry in the form of graphics, texts and multimedia, and demonstrated the important role played by China's aerospace enterprises in accelerating the construction of new quality productive forces.
