On April 22, Chang'an University held the 2024 "World Book Day" event of "Scholarly Campus, Poetry in Chang'an", where teachers and students dressed in traditional costumes walked through the scholarly campus and went to a youth poetry meeting.
The activity is divided into two stages: "Chang'an Spring, Poetry Chang'an" Youth Poetry Club, and "Chang'an Book, Yue Chang'an" Youth Recitation. In the "Chang'an Spring, Poetry Chang'an" Youth Poetry Club activity, teachers and students felt the charm of traditional culture in the program performance and the immersive experience of "Six Arts and Eight Elegances".
The theme exhibition area of Chang'an Market was set up at the poetry meeting, and 14 traditional Chinese culture booths such as "Tang Lifang", "Poetry Pavilion", "Le Ming Xuan" and "Hanzhang Academy" were set up, and teachers and students immersed themselves in traditional cultural projects such as calligraphy, incense, painting, tea tasting, games, archery, etc., and deeply felt the charm of "six arts and eight elegances".
The 100th special event of "Chang'an Book, Yue Chang'an" Youth Reading and Chang'an Yue Reading Public Welfare Reading invited Xiao Yunru, a famous cultural scholar, Li Hao, a professor at Northwest University, Shi Hongshuai, a professor at Shaanxi Normal University, and Hu Wugong, a professor at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, to share the themes of "The Self-cultivation of Reading Subjects", "How Many Buildings and Platforms in the Smoke and Rain: Tang Dynasty Paintings, Tang Dynasty Cultural Sites and Tang Dynasty Poems in Gardens", "The Revival and Prosperity of Xi'an in the Ming and Qing Dynasties" and "Talking about the "Sifang City"". Qi Aiyun, a famous Qin dialect performance artist, performed a fragment of Qin dialect's "Guanzhong Xiaoyue" and a water sleeve dance. Teachers and students of Chang'an University brought a scene poem recitation "Send You a Chang'an", a Chinese costume interpretation of "See Kunming Pool Again", a dance "Song of Ele", and a recitation of "Youth Inheritance" and other programs.
In addition, Chang'an University also held a book fair with the theme of "You Choose a Book, I Pay", a reading experience activity of "Study Survival Challenge", an online prize quiz in the Science Library in 2024, a journal gift and paper writing guidance, etc., to guide teachers and students to love and enjoy reading, and promote the construction of a scholarly campus and a scholarly China.
