Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador at the Geneva Motor Show on February 28, 2011, and the new supercar took over the baton from Murcielago. It was the second best-selling Lamborghini model at the time, with 5,000 Aventadors sold as of March 2016, marking it a very successful model.
Lamborghini unveiled the Ultimae as the final installment of the Aventador, and literally, the Ultimae is the ultimate expression of the Aventador, and while it's not as extreme as the track-focused SVJ, it's still fascinating.
In total, Lamborghini produced only 350 Aventador Ultimaes, including 100 coupes and 250 cabriolets. This is one of only two roadsters to feature a Miura-style livery scheme. That's why the car looks so similar to the previously launched Aventador Miura Homage.
The body of this Ultimae Roadster is mostly painted in Verde Metallic green metallic, which contrasts with the Oro Elios gold trim on the front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper (including the diffuser). Add to that the car's bright copper wheels, and it's hard not to be captivated by the car's look.
The car also has a large amount of carbon fiber material on the exterior, including air intakes, rear diffusers, and mirrors. The entire body is also covered with Xpel paint protection film.
Like the other Aventador Ultimae models, the car is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that makes 770 hp and 720 Nm of torque at 8,700 rpm. While the new Revuelto easily outperforms the Aventador, the car's appeal lies in the fact that it is Lamborghini's last V12-powered supercar without hybrid assistance.
