In order to promote traditional Chinese culture and cultivate children's interest in hard-pen calligraphy and their love for splendid culture and language, on the afternoon of April 21, the New District Library held a lecture on "Exploring the Beauty of Chinese Calligraphy" on the first floor of Nishan Academy.

Special guest of the event: Mr. Zhao Hua, a native of Yantai City, Shandong Province, has loved calligraphy and painting since childhood, has been engaged in arts and crafts design for more than ten years, and is now engaged in calligraphy education, and is now a member of Yantai Calligraphers Association, a member of Yantai Artists Association, a member of China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, and the vice president of the Children's Branch of Yantai Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, and his works were selected for the 23rd World Calligraphy Art Exhibition.

Starting with the choice of pen, paper and pad, Mr. Zhao introduced to parents and children how to write a good seven-character ancient poem: the font size should be consistent, and each grid should have a quarter of the blank space, etc. It focuses on the formatting requirements of the title and the need to carefully check for typos after the work is completed.

During the practice time, Mr. Zhao interacted with every parent and child, answered everyone's questions in detail, and corrected the children's writing mistakes. Through this lecture, the young readers have clarified how to correctly control the structure of Chinese characters and how to complete a correct, upright and beautiful seven-character ancient poem.
