In order to give full play to the rich resource advantages of the museum, show the social power contained in the museum in the current era, and let more audiences enter the museum and understand the museum, on the eve of the "5.18 International Museum Day", the Pingliang Huating Museum planned and carried out a series of activities with the theme of agricultural culture. On April 20th, more than 20 students walked into the Huating City Museum to learn about farming culture and the 24 solar terms, explore the relationship between spring ploughing and the 24 solar terms, and receive agricultural culture education.
In the activity, the teacher took the cultural relics in the museum as the prototype, and asked everyone to find the cultural relics related to farming in the exhibition hall, and soon the students found agricultural tools such as "two oxen lifting bars, iron ploughshares, stone knives, stone axes", etc., these traditional agricultural tools made the children feel the great changes in farming civilization, and also perceived the industrious wisdom of the ancestors and the wonderful use of farming tools. At the same time, the teacher introduced the relationship between farming and the 24 solar terms in the form of interactive questions and answers, emphasizing that the 24 solar terms are a supplementary calendar established in ancient China to guide agricultural affairs, and are the crystallization of the accumulated results and wisdom of the working people's long-term experience. In the handicraft link, the teacher started from the origin, use, classification, and principle of the sundial, and led everyone to make it. At the end of the event, the students said that they had a better understanding of the farming culture of their hometown, the lifestyle of their ancestors, and the diligence and wisdom of the ancients through this series of farming culture activities.
