In order to implement the spirit of the "Guiding Outline for Mental Health Education in Primary and Secondary Schools" and the "Special Action Plan for Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving Student Mental Health Work in the New Era", build a mental health education network for all junior high school students in ethnic areas, enhance the advantages of students of different ethnic groups in discovering, integrating, and expanding their own resources, give full play to the role of mutual help and self-help among students' peer groups, cultivate students' positive psychological qualities, and create a good atmosphere of self-concern and mental health. On the afternoon of April 17, 2024, the mental education team of Junlian County Middle School went to the Central School of Gaoping Miao Township to carry out the "School-School Joint Hand in Hand, Happiness Transmission Heart-to-Heart" school-school collaboration peer education mutual assistance and friendship activity.

Finally, Zhou Delin, secretary of the Education Working Committee of Junlian County, put forward work requirements from three aspects. He said that Yunlian County is a county for the treatment of ethnic minorities, and Gaoping Miao Township is a township for ethnic minorities, and the purpose of coming here to carry out this activity is to solve problems for students in ethnic townships and towns, enhance their self-confidence, cultivate more ethnic minority talents, and encourage them to change their destiny through knowledge, go out of the mountains, and create a piece of heaven of their own. First of all, Qiu Ling, a teacher from the mental education team of Junlian County Middle School, trained a total of 37 mental health committee members and dormitory directors of the fifth to ninth grades of the Central School of Gaoping Miao Township, Junlian County. Guide students to understand peer support, use relevant psychological knowledge, better play their role in psychological crisis early warning and intervention, help psychological teachers and class teachers grasp the dynamics of students in the class, facilitate schools to carry out targeted educational activities, and improve the overall level of mental health education in schools.
Then, Ma Yin, a teacher of the mental education team of Junlian County Middle School, carried out group counseling for 34 ethnic minority students in the first grade of the Central School of Gaoping Miao Township, Junlian County. The group tutoring kicked off with a game of "The Squirrel and the Squirrel", where the relaxed and fun "Icebreaker Journey - The Tree and the Squirrel" broke the constraints of the group, and the children played different roles and tried to keep themselves alone. This was followed by a "paper transfer" activity that made the children aware of the importance of teamwork.
Finally, a survey of peer mutual aid resources was conducted among 84 first-grade students of Gaoping Miao Township Central School in Yunlian County by means of online questionnaire to investigate their positive psychological qualities such as self-confidence and positive capital.
