Recently, the industry's first hydrogen internal combustion engine heavy truck developed by Foton Motor has successfully completed the vehicle ignition work in the test center with the cooperation of the New Technology Research Institute, the Medium and Heavy Truck Technology Center and various relevant departments. After 304 days from the establishment of the project, the project will be officially equipped with a hydrogen internal combustion engine by the end of 2023, and the ignition work will be successfully completed three months later after the collaborative debugging and verification of multiple departments.
The successful ignition means that the zero-carbon technology of domestic heavy-duty commercial vehicle products has achieved a breakthrough, and it also demonstrates Foton's determination and strength to accelerate the realization of the zero-carbon goal, which marks that the company's R&D capabilities in the field of clean energy technology have been substantially verified.
With its high efficiency and low emissions, hydrogen internal combustion engine technology has become an alternative to traditional internal combustion engines, pure electric technology, and fuel cell technology, and has also become a bright spot in the automotive industry.
